The company has been founded in 1949 by Willem Geuken. Willem originally started The company on the Surinamestraat 39 in The Hague. In 1954 Geuken Participated on the Firato which is a biennial exhibition primarily focused on audio en video equipment. Geuken was the first to show waterproof speakers. To demonstrate, Willem submerged the speakers Into an aquarium filled with water and goldfish. Today this product would be classified as IP68. To put the importance of the exhibition into perspective, the Firato was the exhibition where in 1967 the colour television has been introduced. Unfortunately Willem Geuken passed away in 1972. His son continued the company a few years after which Teun Moesker took over the company in 1985. At that time Teun Moesker was employed for for 30 years. In the meantime since 1997 Geuken has been located in a modern office building in Zoetermeer. The Italian and German relations that has been forged in 1949 Still exists to this day.
